Potato & Creamed Corn Gratin

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 600g potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • ⅓ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ cup Swiss cheese, grated
  • ½ can AYAM™ Creamed Corn 425g
 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish with butter, making sure to grease the sides all the way to the top. Bring milk to boil in a saucepan, then add potatoes.
  2. After 2 minutes, drain, reserving milk in a separate bowl. Place potatoes and Creamed Corn in the baking dish, forming layers of each ingredient until the baking dish is ¾ full.
  3. Whisk the egg, salt and pepper together in a medium bowl with the milk which was set aside earlier.
  4. Once well combined, pour the sauce evenly over layered potatoes and corn in the baking dish.
  5. Cover the top of the dish with grated Swiss cheese.
  6. Bake gratin for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Garnish with herbs, if desired.
